We provide our customers two types of Viscosity Reducers: Polymer Based Petroleum Based These chemicals reduce the viscosity of “C” and "B" Massecuites massecuite in pan. Massecuites are products that are formulated specifically to lower the viscosity of massecuites. These products are used extensively to reduce surface tension and improve boiling efficiency, crystallization, centrifugation, and exhaustion of molasses. The specifications of this range are as under: Appearance: Clear, Colorless to pale yellow liquid pH (as is): 6 to 8 Wt./ml.: 1.0 gm to 1.2 gm Solid content: 15-50 (as per customer requirement) Stability: Excellent up to 150°c The prime applications of these products are as under: Controls organic deposits like poly saccharide, hydrolysis products, and caramelization products of sucrose in vacuum pans Reduces the viscosity of massecuite Reduces the scaling in the pans Reduction in boiling time Reduced steam and water consumption Better exhaustion of the molasses Better curing in the centrifugals Crystal quality is improved Further, the prime advantages of these are as under: Increased circulation resulting in greater fluidity, emulsion of gums, controls of mucilaginous substances, and calcium salts, reduction in boiling time, and better crystal quality. The increased fluidity will provide bricks and better exhaustion of the molasses. In Crystallizers, Syrup, and Molasses Tanks: Massecuite reduces mass viscosity and impurities thus providing greater fluidity and preventing foam formation and slime deposits on the tank walls. In the Centrifuges: Yield increases when massecuite is applied to the wash water of centrifuges We recommend adding from 0.02 to 0.3% based on the flow of water. Also the dosage prescribed for the efficient usage of these products is as follows: For A & B Massecuite: 1.0 to 1.5 kg. per 100 MT fo m/c For C Massecuite: 1.0 to 3 Kg. per 100 MT of "C"m/c. For Graining: 2 to 3 kg. for 3 pans grain For best results half of the quantity should be added after the gram is established and the other half at 3/4°' level for gaining in case of A & B Massecuite. For C m/c. equal parts of the total dose should be added: at the beginning, at half level, before dropping Massecuite can also be added in crystallisers and molasses tanks by dissolving the product at the rate of one part of Massecuite per 25 parts of water. Massecuite is available 35/50 liter HOPE carboys.
