After spraying Vertimust fungus it's conidium’s adhere to the host cuticle and germinate.
Its pointed hyphae penetrate inside the insect's body and causing internal destruction of it.
During the course Vertimust fungus secretes toxins viz. Cyclodepsipeptide & Dipiclonic acid and Enzymes viz. Chitinase, which causes death of the insect.
