The test rig is controlled from the computer keyboard, and the load data is acquired from a load cell fixed to the test rig.
The analog voltage from load cell is digitized through a 12 bit A to D converter, and sent to the P.C. The elongation at break is also sensed and is sent to the P.C.
The host P.C. receives stores and analyses the incoming load / elongation data, and shuts the motor down, on sensing yarn break. (Auto stop).
A real time Stress curve with time is also visible in the PC.
Once the test is completed he tensioning Jaw returns to the testing position (Auto return). The rig is ready for the next Sample. (Average time for 50 samples- 20 minutes).
On completion of the preset number of tests, the P.C. prompts the user to type his Comments, and save the results, in DATA Repository. The Reports are ready to be viewed or printed.
