Shaft Mounted Helical Gear Units provide an ideal drive for many different types of machinery-Mounted directly on the driven machine shaft they eliminate completely all alignment problems, as there is no need for base plates, slide rails, support structures and couplings.
The range of output speeds between 10 and 400 rev/min, is obtained by selecting the appropriate shaft mounted unit in association with a primary V belt drive and a 4 or 6 pole motor.
Torque reaction is normally restrained by the standard torque arm which also allows easy adjustment of input V belt drives. There are eight sizes, designated by the letters A to H. Each size is available with any one of the three nominal reduction ratio of 5:1, 13:1 and 20:1.
