The Submerged Arc Welding Machine or ESAB CPRA 800(S) and ESAB CPRA 1200(S) rectifier power sources are designed to provide a direct current supply to automatic welding heads for submerged arc and MIG/CO2 process. These power sources are meant for use with electronically controlled welding heads and have flat output characteristics. The power sources also provide auxiliary power circuitry for running the welding heads and also provide heater supply for use with CO2 when needed. The Auxiliary power is available through two sockets provided on the front panel.
Machine Description:
The components of the welding rectifier are housed in a steel framework, the four sides and top of which are covered by collapsible sheet metal panels. The front of the set is a sheet metal panel having all the push buttons, indicating lamps, voltmeter and power ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ MCB mounted in the top portion of the panel. The lower portion is having the Coarse and Fine Voltage control Switches, Burn off Central Potentiometer, Aux. Connector Sockets and Output terminals. Provision is made for the unit to be lifted either by a fork lift or by a crane and four arm sling from the four eye bolts on the top of the casing.
Salient Features:
Capacity for continuous use
Setting of arc voltage throughout the entire minimum or maximum range with fine control in steps
Overload protection
