We are pioneer in manufacturing Sponge Iron which is also known as Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and is a substitute of steel melting scrap used mainly in Integrated Steel Plants, Mini steel Plants, Foundry etc. The use of Sponge Iron greatly helps in improving the quality of final steel products. We produce premium quality sponge iron using the best quality raw material. Presently we have capacity to produce 20000TPA to feed Induction and Arc furnaces. At BSSPL, the basic raw materials used for the production of sponge iron are iron ore, non-coking coal and dolomite. Since, sponge iron is highly sensitive to raw material characteristics; our production process takes into account the chemical and physical characteristics of raw materials, both individually and in combinations.
