Tumours that derive in the first example in the spine or spinal regions are said to be most important tumours. If the original tumour began in a different part of the anatomy and has stretched to the spinal area, it is referred to as a secondary or a metastases. Spinal tumors are neoplasms located in the spinal cord. They are mostly metastases from primary cancers elsewhere (commonly breast, prostate and lung cancer).
