The use of both optical and ionization detection methods increase sensitivity to smoke. The automatic and alarming smoke detector can be integrated into a fire alarm or security system, and also can be interconnected to cause all detectors in the premises to sound an alarm if one is triggered. For the deaf or hearing impaired, we offer smoke detectors with flashing lights. Unless a smoke detector has an integrated carbon monoxide detector, it cannot prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
