ROHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive which is a standard adopted by EU in February 2003. It limits the use of certain hazardous substances in manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipments. The directive restricts against the use of the following six hazardous substances in manufacturing process

    Lead
    Mercury
    Cadmium
    Hexavalent Chromium
    Polybrominated Biphenyls
    Polybrominated Diphenyl
    Ether
