Solid PTFE Gaskets are completely resistant to chemical attack and are recommended for use at temperatures up to 500°F. (Higher operating temperatures are possible in certain cases.) The opening of equipment or piping does not require the replacement of PTFE Gaskets—they can be used over and over again for years.
