Function: 

Used in many applications in commercial aircraft such as landing gear, cabin and luggage doors, etc. The function of the sensor is to confirm closure of the doors, valve handles and access panels. 

Product Description: 

Comprised of a glass encased reed switch soldered to mountings on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). A bushing supports the wire and the complete assembly is potted.
