Akaylose is used as a beater additive that gives denser surface to the paper used for printing.
In paper, it exhibits improved erasive and writing property, better binding strength, increased hardness, improved sizing smoothness and gloss.
It also improves mechanical strength such as breaking, bursting, folding strength of the paper due to improved fibr e adhesion, surface strength, less fluffing and covers the pores.
