    Checking Probe Impedance

It is a well known fact that the impedance of a probe decreases in due course of time, depending upon usage. Our professionals measure the impedance of a brand new probe at normal operating temperature initially and then note it down again at regular intervals at same temperature. In case a sudden change in the value of impedance or a tenfold increase in it is reported, it is deduced that the probe is malfunctioning.

    Check Reference Air Response

In order to assess if the sensor of the probe has cracked, our experts shut off its reference air supply while it is being operated. A gradual fall, by a few mV, in the output signal of the probe is expected, but if the drop is of more than 25mV is observed, then it is confirmed that the sensor is cracked and the readings are inaccurate.
