The relay measures the line current of each of the line CTs, and if the current exceeds the set threshold, the relay extends a trip signal after a runtime. The "runtime" of the relay is determined by selecting "defined time" or one of the six "inverse time" characteristics. The input to the sensitive earth fault protection can be connected in two ways. First, the residual current derived from three phase current transformers, and the second is low output base balance current transformer can be connected. The input to the restricted earth fault protection will be derived from the neutral CT output with an external stabilizing resistor. Earth, sensitive earth, sensitive/protected earth fault overcurrents can be enabled or inhibited independently.
