Nimodipine is used as a vasodilator in the treatment of cerebral arterial spasm following

• subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured intracranial aneurysm. The chemical.

• 2-methoxyethyl- 1-methylethyl ester. It is a yellow crystalline powder; insoluble in water.
