In spite of their low cross section the bearings have a high load carrying capacity & are suitable for applications where the load is high and the radial space is less. Needle rollers are mainly used as bearing rolling elements to transmit torque and reduce friction. Needle roller bearings, which are designed to withstand oscillation can operate under severe conditions and interchange with sliding bearings. They are quite commonly used in automotive, truck, farm and construction equipment and consumer durables. Available with or without an inner ring.
