Raw water contains suspended solids which have to be removed prior to consumption. Multigrade Sand Filter contains carefully selected two different grades of sand to provide surface and depth filtration. Multigrade Sand Filter reduces suspended solids (10 to 25 ppm*) from raw water. The filtered water will have a suspended solid of < 5 ppm which is acceptable for most of the applications.
Unit is to be backwashed with influent water at a predetermined time or on attaining a differential pressure of 1 kg/cm2.
