Pay off:
This is a motor driven pay-off with excellent art drive for controlling the back tension and is used to increase or decrease the back tension depending upon the inlet size of the wire. There is provided die box & capstan for achieving exact inlet diameter where in capstan is master drive synchronized with both the mills drive thru. A straighter or stress killing unit is provided prior to the inlet to first mill where as the tension and looks are maintained with the sets of dancer provided between capstans & of course mill & between 1st & the 2nd mill. This is a PLC bases system where in the capstan & all the dancer pulleys are provided with ceramic ring to achieve best of the surface finish. Mills comprises similar drive unit with that of capstan and the helical gearbox in the mills ensures high torque. Highly rigid & compact designs of the mills ensure vibration free operations, culminating into high dimensional accuracy in product being produced. There are present rolls fabricated with tungsten carbide sleeves with a hardness of about 70 HRC and the ground lapped to utmost precision. Further screw down mechanism provided with state of the art gearbox is driven by high torque step synchronous motor which facilitates the displacement of torque rolls as low as 0.1 micron. Fixing the pass line of material is fabricated to move the mill across and a wire is grinded thru. This system also has specially designed tungsten carbide guide and American make nozzle & spraying system for spraying coolants at the roll bite. A chiller unit is also provided for maintaining the coolant temperature at 20 degree C during the operation of the machine.
