Kritan Enterprises Oy is the first artificial grass manufacturer that has developed a big Lisport -durability testing device. With Lisport you can test the ball rolling resistance of the turf. The operating principle is the same as that of a normal Lisport device.
This device can measure patches of 1m x 15m, and the ball-rolling test can be carried out on the sample itself. A normal-sized Lisport device handles samples of 0,4 x 0,8m and cannot carry out the vital ball-rolling test.
Ball rolling is one of the most critical properties of artificial turfs. A turf has good ball rolling properties when it′s new, but problems may arise over time and usage. A lot of different shapes of pile yarn are available, and some of them function well when new but may lose their properties with wear. This testing device helps us to develop better products and to concentrate in the technical properties of our turfs, in order to maintain optimal ball rolling qualities throughout the turf′s working life.
