In morning after the breakfast proceed towards Kanha National Park in Jeep safari. The jeep safaris are the best way to observe wildlife at the thick and lush green forest. Sighting wild animals in Kanha is exciting and there are best chances of seeing gaur, wild dog (Cuon alpines) or dhole. Kanha is rich in bird life and the tally of species is close to 300. the commonly seen birds are the Indian roller, racket-tailed drogue, red and yellow wattled lapwing, green bee-eater, different doves (5 species), gray horn bill, tree pie, myna, munia, bush chat, warbler, flycatcher, babbler and woodpecker.
The Kanha National Park was established in 1955 and forms the core Tiger reserve. In 1974, it comes under Project Tiger. The greatest achievement of this park is the preservation of Barasingha and saving the species from extinction.
