The clients can avail K Type Thermocouple that finds several applications at temperatures ranging up to 1260 ⁰C or 2300 ⁰F from us. It has greater service life than the J type thermocouple, since the JP (iron) wire of J Type variant is known to oxidize rapidly, particularly at higher temperatures. This thermocouple is usually cased in a suitable metal or ceramic protecting tube to safeguard it from environments in which the temperature reduces steadily. Even though the casing is not required in conditions that support oxidation, including electric furnaces, having a protective tube is preferred in order to maintain cleanliness and render the thermocouple with general mechanical protection.
