WEBSTAR’s WSM-9500 is an Intelligent GPRS Modem (IGM) which acts like an Interface device between a Field Data Logger and the server. This modem collects the data periodically from the field equipments like PLC, AMR, Weather Loggers etc,, and transfers the same to the server using FTP (Http optional) protocol. This IGM also buffers the data incase of network failure and resumes transfer once the network becomes alright.
