Osmosis is evident in trees during flow of water from leaves to the main body. It helps in flow of water thorugh a semi-permeable membrane from the section containing lower concentration of ionic substances to a higher concentration section.

Our products are designed with innovation with a combination of sieving and sorption diffusion mechanisms. In order to filter certain species in a fluid or medium-to-large sized dissolved molecules from the solution, the products are provided with membranes. The technology can be used for retaining the functional properties of products that are superior to products produced by conventional processes.

The membranes are selected on the basis of the size of the pores, which are lesser size than the The criterion for selecting a membrane is the size of the pores, which should be smaller than the size of the smallest particle in the feed stream that is to be retained by the membrane.
