Enhanced External Counter Pulsation is a special treatment for patients with symptoms of ischemia and angina (chest pain due to an inadequate supply of oxygen to the heart muscle). The treatment is also found to be useful in improving exercise tolerance and decreasing the degree of ischemia in a cardiac stress test.
