The Chairperson Unit is also a passive unit that gets its power supply from the central unit. A red light illuminates to indicate that the unit is powered on. It can be connected to the delegate cable network at any place. This unit enables the chairperson to monitor and control the conference. It has a priority button that is used to override all delegate units. 

There is a push button to switch the MIC on or off. Some other key features of the unit include Built-in chip card reader for user identification, Super cardioid electro condenser microphone, Automatic gain control to prevent acoustic feedback and Back-lit LCD screen for dynamic status display. The unit has a built-in feature to turn of automatically when no speech is detected for 20 seconds. Its built-in water drainage system shields the circuit board.
