Diamond Grading Course

Additional Details

This course teaches students to judge and ascertain the quality of cut and polished diamonds. The course starts from the introduction wherein the students are taught physical and chemical properties of diamonds and the factors that determine the value of a particular diamond as per international standards. The various course contents are as follows:
 

• The students are taught the basics of how to judge the clarity, color, cut and carat weight as per international standards of grading system.
• Apart from the theoretical aspects students would be given training in handling actual diamonds so as to grade them personally
• Students are taught ways to separate the diamond from various other substitutes like strontium titanate, YAG, GGG etc.
• Students are acquainted to the formation of diamonds, its polishing, cutting, finishing, and the pricing of diamonds according to international markets.
• Duaration of cources.
• for two months.
• for seven days as a crash cource.
• Students will be given the certificate of being a qualified diamond grader and gemologist.
