Operating Principle:
Dust-laden air enters the cylindrical body of the cyclone tangentially at the top the flow assumes a vortex pattern as it travels helically downward. When the particles reach the wall, friction gravity force then to descend discharge into a receiver. Centrifugal force from the air's tangential velocity causes the heavier dust particles to move radically out ward toward the cyclone's wall. The cleaned air spirals upward exits at the top of the cyclone.
The unit basically consists of a cylindrical and a conical portion. Dust and debris are sucked in at the top. Air containing fine dust blows out of the other side of the top, while the chips and large dust particles fall out of the bottom into a drum or a bin. The unit makes use of the centrifugal force for the separation of the particles. The process leads the heavy particles to the bottom thus making the air lighter to escape from the top. Unit have got tangential inlet, which provides a flow rotating movement to the gas and thereby the dust particles are driven towards the envelop surface where they are screwed down.Cyclone separators are devices that are used to separate dust from dust laden gases typically when the dust particle size is 20 microns or more. Filtration efficiencies in cyclones are not as good as Bag Filters, however the maintenance cost of cyclones is much lesser than that of Bag Filters.Cyclones are also offered with special wear liners and insulations to suit your requirements and can be used for a wide range of applications in the following industries
