A crucible furnace is a casting facility, in which metal is melted in a pot (Crucible) inside a furnace, before being poured into a mould, usually constructed from sand. A sand-tray beneath where molten metal is poured contains any spillage. There are tiles which are situated around the work chamber.
The insulation is ensured by the low thermal mass ceramic fiber material which results in low energy loss and insulating bricks below the hearth provide good load bearing capacity. Normally there are two chambers in the crucible furnace. It may or may not have the apertures. The temperature is controlled through various means.
It can run easily from GAS/ OIL/ ELECTRICAL
