Asense is designed to control ventilation bytransmitting the measured carbon dioxide andtemperature value to the system´s master orddc. The transmitter is flexible and suits manydifferent ventilation strategies. According to most building regulations, thefresh air flow should, in rooms where peoplestay more than occasionally, be at least 7litres/sec and person. If the room occupants are adults with a lightwork-load and the outdoor co2 concentrationis 350 ppm, this airflow answers directly to anin-door co2 concentration of 1040 ppm. According to national boards of occupationalsafety and health, the co2 concentration cantherefore be used as an indicator of the indoorair quality (iaq). A co2 concentration below 1000 ppm shouldthen always be the aim.
