The principle of Galvanic protection by using dissmiliar metals in contact, where one will corrode to protect the other is employed to give protection from corrosion.  Zine-Tin compound are mechanically deposited on screws which give good porosity density rating of 8 and eliminate the risk of hydrogen embrittlement associated with electro-plating the Zinc on to the screws.
