Brass Plating

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It is plated on mild steel aluminium and zinc based die-castings for decorative applications. It is plated on mild steel to obtain good bonding of steel to rubber. An undercoat of nickel considerably will increase the aesthetic value of brass plated components. It provides a general purpose economical brass salt for use in bath vat and barrel. It yields a rich golden yellow deposit. The solution can be used in either warm or cold conditions. However bath performance is better in warm conditions. By altering the operating conditions like temp. & current density, the colour of the deposit may vary from pale yellow to reddish gold.
