We offer a range of Automatic Power Factor Correction Panels that helps in actualizing zero voltage switching of capacitors and helps in eliminating switching transients. The power factor helps in calculating the load power factor by sensing of the load current through the CT installed in one of the three phases. This helps in taking the voltage feedback from the balance in two phases. The electrical systems comprise of inductive equipments and resistive components therefore power loss occurs due to inductivity and hence less utilization of power. Due to low power factor, the systems are over burdened. The systems are then suggested to compensate capacitive devices to reduce the power factor losses i.e. to maintain Power factor above 0.9 up to 1. In APFC Panels, an APFC relay is used which senses the power factor and has many stages. This relay automatically switches on step relays through contactors and then capacitors are connected. The relay stops where the power factor reaches the set value. And when the power factor is over compensated it starts switching off the steps thus maintaining the desired power factor.
