Coolers can be in any of the types cooled or water after cooler and inter cooler for air, oil and gases.

Coolers are designed horizontal as well as vertical with the facility of air in shell or tube with or without moisture separator and pulsation dampers having low pressure drop and high heat transfer rate and easy cleaning of exchanger by water jet.
