This dressing is an Antibiotic Gamma sterilized Tulle Gras Dressing that is used on wounds, skin burns and prior to the use of any other dressing. It can also be used for scalds, lacerations, abrasions etc. It reduces the risk of colonization and has proven active against a wide range of Gram Positive Organisms.
This dressing has the ingredients of Polymyxin B Sulphate U.S.P. – 5000 Units, Bacitracin Zinc U.S.P-100 Units, and Neomycin Sulphate U.S.P-3400 Units. It is available as a single dressing of 10cm x 10cm packed in a 4 ply Glassine / Poly / Aluminum / Poly Pouch and 10 Pouches in a paper carton.
The following some of the features of this dressing:
Soothing and low adherent. Allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing.
Paraffin acts as a soothing agent and the antibiotic in it helps in the healing process
Does not stick on the wound, and hence does not interfere with the healing process.
Special butter paper is used which minimizes the loss of medicines when removed from the dressing before application.
