The 9.3 Mtr Antenna System incorporates Cassegrain optics with Antenna reflector corrugated conical Horn and Sub reflector. The Antenna is designed for high structural stability to achieve high accuracies in POINTING and TRACKING, apart from ease in installation.
The Reflector is shaped parabolic curvature, formed to high RMS accuracy of 0.5mm. The Antenna System can be operated in C, Extn C and Ku Bands in Linear / Circular Polarizations.The Antenna Reflector consists of 36 no’s of panels arranged in 2 rows, 24no’s Radial Trusses, made from high strength Aluminum Alloy, Central hub (Steel Galvanised). The Hub is spacious enough to accommodate the Rx electrics like LNAs etc. The Mount is an Elevation over Azimuth type and is available in 2 configurations. 1) Azimuth rotation 1200 continuous and 1800 in two positions with King post Mount. 2) Conical Mount , Azimuth rotation ± 3300. The Mounts are all made with structural steel, Galvanised and painted with polyurethene paint. The Antenna meets latest specs of ITU-RS-580.
