Corn gluten is a by-product of the corn grinding process. The appearance is yellow refinement and is available in powder and granular form. Corn gluten meal contains high protein and is therefore used as an important ingredient in the feed industry worldwide, mainly for poultry, water, pigs and cattle. In recent times, corn gluten meal as a herbicide is used as a pre-emergent. This means that the meal of corn gluten, in the form of powder, is spread on the bare ground.
