Oral pathology is the discipline of pathology that deals with the nature, identification and management of diseases affecting the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions. The department trains students to perform routine histopathological evaluations along with haematological, cytological, microbiological, immunological and ultra structural investigations. The student is trained in the science of histology and pathology of oral and maxillofacial region utilizing state-of-the-art digital microscopy and LCD projection system.
Dr. Ajith Kadam obtained his BDS & MDS degree in 1990 and 2000 respectively from GDC Mumbai. He holds 13 yrs of teaching experience. He is a Member of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and also a Fellow of PIERRE FAUCHARD ACADEMY. He has presented many papers and has many national publications to his credit.
