Liquid Temperature Sensing Thermostat has brass body machined from solid rod. Hex nut threads for screwing into any location, like hydraulic lines, tanks, pipe lines, radiators, engines, oil filled transformers and oil baths etc. Also available with threaded extension at lead end for conduit connection. The operation of this thermostat is based on the snap action bimetal thermostat, which senses temperature rise and the contacts snap open. Upon cooling the contacts snap close. These contacts are made of solid silver for long life of 1,00,000 operations. The lead wires are teflon insulated and can withstand high temperature. The body is electrically insulated so no chance of electrical shock.
