Loading Resistor is designed for safe dissipation of maximum output of the power converter, which is in a full load test condition. A load resistor is necessary in testing power converter and other devices under a power load condition, to maintain accuracy and thermal stability in the entire test sequence. High wattage loading resistors offer best power supply solution for manufacturers involved in product life testing and functional testing. The loading resistors are large and bulky but advantageous as it can be easily mounted and wired in different combinations. These resistors should be carefully chosen depending on their non-inductive properties.
