It can be easily made by mixing the boric acid with the hydrochloric acid and the ammonium bifluoride. It is also available commercially in the form of the solution in the water and along with the other kinds of solvents like the diethyl ether. It has the strength similar to a nitric acid and the fluoroboric acid which is very strong and has a non-oxidizing base which is conjugate.
