Lamina Suspension Products was started by three promoter directors Sri N.V. Hegde, Sri T.R Shenoy and Sri Guruprasad Adyanthaya in the year 1976. It was set up as a small-scale industrial unit for manufacture and sale of Automobile Leaf Springs.The unit located in Baikampady Industrial Area, Mangalore, Karnataka state India has a 7 acres plot. The total built up area of the different buildings located in this campus is nearly 200000 sq.ft. The unit went into production with an initial capacity of 2000 M. tons per annum in the year 1977. The capacity has been gradually increased and as on date the unit is having a capacity of 12000 M. tons per annum of Multi-leaf springs and 3000 M.tons of Parabolic Leaf springs . The sales, which were to the extent of US$. 150,000 during the first year have now steadily increased and has achieved a business turnover of around 25 Million U S Dollars. Over last 35 years Lamina is known for its Quality, Range of products and strong relationship with its customers all over the world. The success of Lamina is also due to the effective marketing network of the company comprising of its own stock points and market offices located across India at Madurai, Vijayawada, Calicut,Chennai, Goa, Solapur, Raipur, Cuttack, Ahmedabad, Mangalore and Hubli. Other channels of distribution are through the distributors, commission agents, own sales representatives and the direct dealers catered by the company and /or by the distributors.  Lamina also embarked upon exporting its products in the year 1989 through Lamina International and since then has been able to register rapid progress and today are exporting over 3000 M.Tons springs to UK, Germany ,Italy, Taiwan, South Korea, France, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Belgium, USA, Mexico, Australia, Finland, Greece, Algeria, UAE , Malaysia & other neighboring countries.
