Menthyl Acetate-99 offered is a clear, colorless liquid that has in it pleasant odor as well as high solubility in most common organic solvents. Available in form of a clear, colorless liquid, it contains a non-residual, pleasant odor and has limited solubility in water and good to high solubility with common organic solvents. Having a boiling point of 57°C at 760 mmHg (1 atm), Methyl Acetate can be dissolved in a variety of resins including vinyls, epoxies, acrylics, urethanes, phenolics, polyesters and cellulosics. Having a fast evaporation rate, some of the areas where it is used in include in fast dry industrial maintenance coatings, aerosol coatings, air-dry automotive refinish paints, quick dry adhesives as well as spray applied furniture coatings. Further, this pure Methyl Acetate also finds usage as intermediate in variety of synthesis based applications like in production of pharmaceutical intermediates. Some of the other end usage application include as solvent for polyurethane coatings & adhesives, process solvent for agricultural chemicals, blowing agent for polyurethane and other foams and other applications.
