Ethylene oxide is well-known as EO or ETO is a chemical compound that is commonly used for gaseous sterilization of disposable healthcare products.

ETO is a chemical used in the Pharmaceutical industry to sterilize medical devices. It is also used to make other chemicals. Ethylene oxide is colorless and considered a relatively toxic liquid and gas. It can be mixed in all proportions with water, ethers, alcohols, and other organic solvents.

Sterilization can be achieved by applying the proper combinations of heat, chemicals, irradiation, high pressure, and filtration. ETO Sterilizers are appropriate for sterilizing a wide variety of products like Electronics, Plastics, Sharps, and Optics etc

it is formed by direct oxidation of ethylene with air or oxygen. As EO reacts readily with many chemicals, it is one of the most multipurpose intermediate and is used to produce many derivative products.

The basic ETO sterilization is a process consisting of varied stages : Temperature, Relative humidity, Time of exposure and Concentration of the gas and takes approximately 2-1/2 hrs excluding aeration time.
