Other Details
We manufacture a wide range of Thyristor based Street Light Controller with fully contact less switching using microcontrollers to reduce output in low traffic / population density time. This is a new system of energy saving and control of street lights. This application is built on handling the streetlights more economically and can be operated without any difficulty. Instead of using the usual ON-OFF system, a default light intensity level of 50% is maintained for the lamps by using a digitally controlled thyristor power regulator circuit.
Traffic is sensed at each pole and signal is sent to the master control station, which in turn sends command signal to the local pole circuit and the light intensity level is raised to 100 % only in the section of the road where traffic is sensed. Thus, a considerable amount of energy is saved, without compromising the lighting requirement.
Technical Specifications
High level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radios based on the IEEE 802.15.4-2003 standard for Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (LR-WPANs), such as wireless light switches with lamps, electrical meters with in-home-displays, consumer electronics equipment via short-range radio needing low rates of data transfer. The technology defined is intended to be simpler and less expensive than other WPANs, such as Blue tooth.
