This authorization is granted by DGFT office for the import of necessary inputs to manufacture and export products without payment of any kind of duties. The initial validity granted is 24 months from the date of issue of authorization with a provision to re-validate for further six months for imports and for 12 months which is subject to a payment of composition fee. The advance authorization is provided to new products and the products which fall under standard input-output norms listed by DGFT.
