Excellent’s G.703 series Modem converters is a high performance, long range Ethernet Bridge, which acts as a LAN extending device using your PCM Channel. The units are designed with the latest features that are in demand today. Flexible clocking modes, AMI / HDB3 Line Coding, advanced diagnostics including local and remote loop back functions. The unit supports the frame treatment of E1 channel, so it can be used and inserted extensively in the environment of the network on DDN special line.

User selectable n*64 Kbps data rates, Front panel LED’s and press Key allows instant diagnostics and service monitoring. Convenient DIP-Switches & Console port, supports quick and easy configuration of the units with power input options of 220 V AC or –48V DC

The G.703 series Modem Converter performs several jobs. As a Modem, the unit receives synchronous E1/FE1 data from a G.703/704 network and sends it to a router, bridge, and multiplexer or other devices. As an interface converter, the G.703 series accept 120 Ohm twisted pair or 75-Ohm dual coax network connections (both types of interface provided) then it converts the signals to serial interface (such as V.35, RS 530 or X.21) or Ethernet interface

As a Rate Adapter the G.703 units allows to set a lower bandwidth device such as 16Kbps, 32 Kbps, 64 Kbps, 128 Kbps, 512 Kbps, or 1.024 Mbps connect to a 2.048 Mbps G.703 link

Whether the requirement is for n*64 Kbps or 2 Mbps, corporate customers connecting to a digital data network can use our Modem converter at their branch office and central site to terminate the network connection and deliver a Serial or Ethernet interface to the customers equipment. The converters can be used in a point to multi point (switched) application as well as point-to-point application.
