EcoCentric Management Pvt Ltd (EcoCentric) is one of India’s leading electronics asset management company. EcoCentric strongly believes in the “Reduce Reuse Recycle” way of consuming our natural resources and assist individuals and corporates to incorporate this principle by increasing value of their electronic and electrical inventories as well as disposal of their e-waste in an environment-friendly manner.

EcoCentric was founded in January 2011 to create a professionally run e-waste processing company. Waste Management is at a nascent stage in India and there is a limited awareness about the ethical, safe and compliant e-waste management. Our team travelled across the country to study the scenario at grass root levels and observed that there are a limited number of organisations processing e-waste currently. India generates approximately 8 lakh tones of e-waste as of 2012. Approximately 95% is forwarded to the formal sector whereas the rest is handled by unorganized sector. EcoCentric was formed to fill this gap.

EcoCentric offers corporates and individuals a customised end-to-end solution for e-waste management, asset recovery, data security and destruction, reverse logistics, CSR initiatives (donations to NGOs), refurbishment services, while complying with the environment and legislative norms pertaining to ethical, safe and compliant e-waste management, recycling and disposal.

EcoCentric prides in its team of young professionals who are extremely committed to bring about a positive change in the environment and have taken the first step towards ensuring a sustainable eco-system. We aim to deliver our promise without compromising on our value system. The team comprises of young professionals who have spent a lot of time advising companies on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, before venturing into e-waste.
Management Team
Karan Thakkar

Founder. Managing Director

After graduating from Narsee Monjee, Mumbai in 2007, Karan joined KPMG as a consultant. He has a rich experience in providing consultancy services for risk and strategy management to conglomerates including Vedanta, Binani, GSK among others. Previously, he has also worked at ICICI Prudential and Citigroup, before founding EcoCentric in 2011 and is actively involved in looking after strategic initiatives, as well as the overall working of business.
Hemal Damani

Director – Finance

Hemal joined J.P. Morgan in its investment banking business on graduating from Narsee Monjee College. Working from Mumbai and London, he has helped provide mergers and acquisitions advisory to major European financial institutions including ING, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, among others. He joined EcoCentric in 2012 and has been looking after the commercial aspects of the company.
Sanket Chauhan

Head – Operations

Sanket joined BPCL as a Sales Executive, after graduating from National Institute of Technology, Allahabad in 2008. He has rich experience in ATL/BTL sales and marketing activities as well as logistics in the competitive field of lubricant sales. He has handled many strategic B2B accounts for BPCL at Kolhapur and Nagpur. He joined EcoCentric in 2013 and is heading operations for central region.
Anchal Bajaj

Head – CSR

Anchal has taught environmental management at various reputed schools in Mumbai. An avid writer, she also writes for speaking tree on spirituality, religion and nature. As the head of CSR activities, she connects EcoCentric with different segments of the society. From awareness campaigns to workshops, she makes sure EcoCentric sensitizes the masses regarding e-waste and sustainability.
