The 3.8 M Transportable antenna for mounting on a trailer chassis has been specially designed with a low profile Az/El mount, so that the folded antenna (Zenith looking) with the mount is only 2400mm (approx) high and the CG is 840mm (approx) from base. Total height of mount plus 1000mm height of trailer chassis make a transportable height 3400mm (approx) very much below the allowable height. Also, the transportable folded width is low well below the allowable width of 2440mm.
The structural part of the antenna system consists of:
Quadrupod to support the Gregorian sub reflector
Gregorian sub reflector
Reflector Panels, Back-Up Structure and Feed
Base Frame
Az-El mount with drives.
