Some common uses are like Autowrap - a pressure sensitive adhesive coated white UV stabilized polyolefin film masking. This is design for the protection of automotive finishes during transit to the dealer and storage. Also used to cover bumpers, door age, rocker panels, fascia, door handles, B pillars etc. A strong adhesive tape with one side covered with flock is used in the areas like door panels, Gear knobs to absorb vibrations and to reduce rattling noise.
