The process in which the separation of a soultion from a solvent or the separation of two solutions of different concentrations, results in the flow of less concentrated solution into the solution of greater concentration.
The process in which the separation of a soultion from a solvent or the separation of two solutions of different concentrations, results in the flow of less concentrated solution into the solution of greater concentration. In case of application of excess hydraulic pressure, the concentrated solution results in the flow of solution in the reverse order, also known as reverse osmosis. This technique helps in extracting pure solvent from the soultion.
